The Town of Claresholm has built up the necessary infrastructure to service the community today and well into the future. This infrastructure includes state-of-the-art water treatment facilities, a wastewater management system that is currently being expanded, a municipal cemetery, parks and recreation facilities, and waste management services. Bylaws ensure the proper management of the community and are enforced by our Community Peace Officer.
The Town of Claresholm Cemetery is located at 3800 8th Street South. Burial information for Claresholm and area is now available on the Canadian Headstones website. Please visit the link for our area. All headstones in the old part of the Claresholm Cemetery, Blocks 1-18 are included. The new section, Blocks A-L, has not been photographed and recorded as yet.
To place, alter or repair a headstone a permit is required. The Permit Application and information can be found below, or you can get a hard copy from the Town Office. Please submit your completed Application in person to Town Office or via e-mail before any preparation or installation of headstones.
Any alterations to be made at the cemetery must be approved by the Town of Claresholm prior to taking place. Please contact the Town of Claresholm Administration Office at (403) 625-3381 to discuss options and process for alterations.

Memorial Items: The Town requests that people be considerate when placing memorial items at grave sites. Memorial items may be removed to allow for proper maintenance and grounds-keeping at the Cemetery.
